Mental Health Practitioner Coverage for ALL Members

We hope this finds you and your family healthy and well.

During this continued time of uncertainty, we wanted to remind you that as of April 1, 2020 ALL members and eligible dependents have coverage up to $2,000 (combined) for mental health practitioners.

Your level of coverage is in direct correlation with your benefit level and is as follows:

Golden level:              70% to a maximum of $2,000

Benefit Level 01:          70% to a maximum of $2,000

QC Drugs:                   70% to a maximum of $2,000

Benefit level 02:          70% to a maximum of $2,000

Benefit level 03:          80% to a maximum of $2,000

Benefit level 04:          90% to a maximum of $2,000

The mental health practitioners that fall into this category are: Psychologists, Social Workers, Psychotherapists, Psychoanalysts and Registered Clinical Counsellors.  All practitioners must meet Income Tax and Provincial legislation licensing requirements.

Your coverage amount is based on per person, per plan year (April 1 – March 31).

If you have any receipts from virtual appointments you have had with a Psychologist or Social Worker, Canada Life has determined that they will accept receipts from those sessions.

REMEMBER: In order to be eligible to receive health benefit coverage under the IATSE 667/669 Group Benefit Plan, you must have provincial health coverage.
