2017 Benefit Improvements

  1. Paramedical services (except Psychologist/Social Worker/Registered Clinical Counsellor) increased to $700 per practitioner per plan
  2. Psychologist/Social Worker/Registered Clinical Counsellor services increased to $1,000 (combined total) per plan
  3. Orthotics increased from $450 per two years to $450 per year (levels 02, 03, 04).
  4. Vision care for members increased as follows per 24 months (coverage for dependents is unchanged):
  • Level 02 – $300
  • Level 03 – $500
  • Level 04 – $750
  1. Employee Life benefit increased as follows:
  • Level 02 – $50,000
  • Level 03 – $125,000
  • Level 04 – $150,000
  • Golden Level – $20,000
  • QC Drugs option – $50,000
  1. Medical benefits for members age 70 and over increased to $5,000 per plan
  2. $500 Health Spending Benefit for all members with a minimum 5 years of continuous membership in good standing with either Local 667 or 669, effective December 31,
  3. $1,000 Health Spending Benefit for all members age 65 and over with 25 years of continuous membership in good standing with either Local 667 or 669, effective April 1st following their 65th birthday.
